Our family has been a longtime fan of Rubio’s Restaurants; with our move to Arizona in 2008, we discovered them quickly and have been supporters ever since.  Other fans will be happy to know that a very popular dish, their Langostino Lobster, is back for a limited time.  We have not tried this dish yet but will be heading their this weekend to see what makes this fan favorite so popular.

This year the seasonal Langostino Lobster has an updated taste with the addition of a brand new citrus rice and savory basil butter, which are both the creation of Ralph Rubio himself and the Rubio’s Culinary Team.

Rubio’s dedication to seafood cuisine began when the first Rubio’s opened in 1983. The time Ralph Rubio spent developing the first fish taco recipe became the basis for everything Rubio’s stands for today.  You can learn more about the history of Rubio’s in this interview with Ralph Rubio himself.

The craveable Langostino Lobster Burrito features tender Langostino Lobster drizzled with warm basil butter, citrus rice, and fresh guacamole. Wrapped in a warm flour tortilla, the burrito includes black beans, chipotle white sauce, salsa fresca, and is topped off with crisp lettuce. The Langostino Lobster Two Taco Plate served with no-fried pinto beans and chips, offers guests two flavorful, mouthwatering tacos topped with freshly sliced avocados, a cilantro-onion mix, chipotle white sauce, and cabbage. Fans looking for variety are invited to try Rubio’s new Surf & Turf taco plate featuring one Langostino Lobster Taco and one Grilled Gourmet Steak Taco, served with a side of no-fried pinto beans and chips.
