Before LIIFT4 comes out on Beachbody and even after it releases, there are some LIIFT4 things to know that will help you succeed.

LIIFT4 will become available in your Beachbody On Demand library on October 1st but VIP early access is available now.

LIIFT4 Things to Know | Who Should Do LIIFT4?

LIIFT4 is an intermediate to advanced workout, but that should not discourage any fitness level. There are modifications for every exercise performed. Even with modifications, you will see results.

Anyone who is easily bored with tedious workouts or who is busy and doesn’t have much time to fit exercise into their day can benefit from LIIFT4. Every workout for the entire 6 weeks is different and each workout is between 30 and 40 minutes long. Boredom and time-crunch solved.

LIIFT4 Things to Know | What Can I Expect From LIIFT4?

LIIFT4 workouts are based on classic lifting technique, meant to isolate focus on each muscle group, and high-intensity interval training (HIIT) which is short but intense burst of work with minimal rest. This makes the LIIFT4 workouts time and energy efficient.

You will burn more fat and build lean muscle in less time than traditional steady state or low-intensity exercise, and will also experience the “afterburn effect” of burning more calories even long after your workout.

There are 2 phases of the LIIFT4 plan intended to give you the maximum results. Joel calls the first 6 weeks “The Build”. You will build lean muscle and define your body. You will get stronger and leaner.

The following 2 weeks he calls “The Shred“. Your workouts will amp up your calorie burn and reveal a new and improved, muscular you. Every workout ends with a focus on your core for a full body workout and defined abs.

LIIFT4 Things to Know | How Many Days a Week Will I Workout?

LIIFT4 is a 60-day plan with 32 different workouts. That’s 4 days a week. Each workout ranges between 30 and 40 minutes in total and you will be working and sweating hard!

There’s nothing too complicated about the workouts. Because you are working out 4 days a week and allowing your body to rest in between, you will be constantly working during each session. There’s no time wasted and you will never do the same workout twice.

LIIFT4 Things to Know | What Do I Need To Get Started With LIIFT4?

You don’t need a lot of equipment for this program thanks to the no-nonsense nature of a HIIT workout. Most HIIT workouts can be done with little or no equipment and can be done just about anywhere.

For the strength portion, you need a set of weights (light, medium, and heavy) or resistance bands if you prefer them. You will need a mat for floor work and about a 6ft x 6ft space to work in.

LIIFT4 Things to Know | Does LIIFT4 Have a Nutrition Plan To Follow?

Yes. There is a LIIFT4 Nutrition Guide available with the package. LIIFT4 is also designed to go well with Shakeology and Beachbody Performance products like Energize, Recover, Recharge, and Hydrate.

The nutrition plans (Plan A through F) are based on your weight and how many calories you should take in each day. It’s also focused on Macros, similar to the 21 Day Fix. You will get about 30% of your diet from protein, 40% carbs, and 30% fat.

Unlike some of the other plans, your nutrition choices, although important, are flexible. You can choose a Beachbody plan like 21 Day Fix or 2B Mindset, or you can stick to a 40/30/30 plan that works for you.  The added bonus is, you get a weekly cheat day!
