Beachbody has a new workout plan that is quickly gaining traction on the Internet. The program is called Transform 20 and was designed by Shaun T as a way to transform your body in just 20 minutes a day. Like many other Beachbody workout plans, it also comes with a meal plan. Here, we explore some of the most frequently asked questions about the Transform 20 plan so you can decide if it’s right for you.

Before deciding if Transform 20 is right for you, it helps to have answers to some of the most common questions about this new workout plan.

Beachbody is in the business of helping people lose weight, get healthy, and gain muscle. As part of that business, Beachbody OnDemand makes it easier for people to get the workouts they need no matter where they are.

Many people have used Beachbody OnDemand while traveling and at home because it allows you to take your workouts with you wherever you go — whether it’s across the world or into another room.

The workouts all fall in line the expectation we have of Beachbody in that they’re easily customizable and you can see results with reasonable and consistent effort.

What is Transform 20?

Debuting on April 1, 2019, Transform 20 is the newest workout and nutrition plan from Beachbody on Demand.  It’s a 6-week journey to “conquer your mind and transform your life” with trainer Shaun T.

Just 20 minutes, six times per week, for six weeks will bring transformation to your body. Each workout is quick but intense.  The Transform 20 program is a full-body cardio workout designed to get you to your goals and transform your body.

Who is Transform 20 for?

If you are looking to transform your mind and body, Shaun T’s high energy demeanor will get you going and keep you motivated.

If you are up for a total body transformation and advanced cardio workout that could have you losing 3-7 pounds in the first week, Transform 20 could be for you.

Any home workout enthusiast who finds that working out gets tedious will never get bored.  There are no repeat workouts!

What equipment do I need to do Transform 20?

You don’t need much to get started.  A workout step is really all you need to complete all of the Transform 20 workouts.  If you already have a step from your step aerobics days, you can use that!  If you don’t have a step right away, that’s fine too.  The dimensions of the step used in Transform 20 are 11”L x 27”W x 4”H.  They are also available for purchase on Beachbody On Demand.

There are bonus workouts for those of you missing your free weights.  If you love working out with free weights, you will have 6 workouts to choose from.

What are the three chapters of Transform 20?

True to Beachbody format, Transform 20 is broken down into phases or “chapters” of your workout and weight loss journey.  As you progress in a fitness plan, you need to shift your focus and dial things up a bit.

Transform 20 breaks the journey down into 3 chapters. Each chapter is two weeks long.

Transform 20, Chapter One:  Commit.  In the first 2 weeks, you are building a foundation and setting the tone.

Transform 20, Chapter Two: Climb.  Weeks 3 and 4 get more intense and some new exercises are introduced.

Transform 20, Chapter Three: Conquer.  The final 2 weeks are all about pushing to the edge and finishing your transformation, both mind and body.

What does my Transform 20 week look like?

You will work out for 20 minutes a day, 6 days a week.  Each day of the week has a specific focus.

Day 1:  Burn.  A primarily cardio workout.

Day 2:  Faster.  Adds agility and footwork to cardio.

Day 3:  Stronger.  A full body strength routine working one side at a time.

Day 4:  Powerful.  Plyo moves are added to a cardio plus strength style routine.

Day 5:  Cut.  Utilizing pulses and lots of reps, intended to define and shape your muscles.

Day 6:  Balanced.  The focus is on the core and stretching after an intense week.

What is a Transformer?

A Transformer is a one-minute timed challenge.  There are 3 Transformers in each 20-minute workout.  You will record your Transformer performance on your tracker and calendar to track your progress.

Can I modify my workouts with Transform 20?

Yes!  You can modify just about any Beachbody workout.  In Transform 20, cast members perform modified routines so you can easily follow along.  Whether you need to modify to make things easier or want to kick up the challenge, either option is possible.  Transform 20 is not labeled a low-impact workout, but with modifications, it absolutely can be.

What are the Transform 20 bonus workouts?

The Transform 20 program offers 10-, 15-, and 20-minute bonus workouts to help you achieve even better results.  These workouts focus on abs and specific areas like a “10 Minute Best Butt” workout.  There are also 6 workouts utilizing free weights, as well as a recovery workout and extra cardio for those who want it.  There are 12 bonus workouts in all.  You can do them at any time.

What program materials are included in Transform 20?

6 Week Transformation Tracker:  This is your goal tracker and your daily record of workouts, meal plans, and anything else you need to keep a record of (like your progress).

Wall Calendar/Tracker:  This calendar will show you at a glance which workout you will be doing each day, with a separate space to record your performance for each workout.  You will keep this handy during your workouts.

Beachbody Nutrition Guide:  The nutrition guide helps you to plan your meals around eating clean and healthy.  Transform 20 was designed to work with Beachbody Performance portion control containers which follow a 30/40/30 ratio of protein, carbs, and fats.  If you are already using the 2B Mindset plan by Beachbody, it will work with Transform 20 also.

What does Transform 20 cost?

VIP early access and promotional pricing is available until April 1, 2019.  Once Transform 20 is launched, prices will vary according to the package you need.

There are four Transformation 20 packages which all include the Beachbody Step.

  • The Performance Pack contains all the essentials, starting at $180.  This includes the Beachbody Performance Stack of Energize and Recover.  It doesn’t include Shakeology.
  • The Challenge Pack also begins at $180 but includes Shakeology rather than the Performance Stack.
  • The Deluxe Challenge Pack includes both Shakeology and the Performance Stack, starting at $309.95.
  • The Mega Challenge Pack, at $464.95 includes everything you need for Transformation 20 and in addition, you get a Beachbody Mega Performance package which contains Energize, Recover and Recharge.
