Crockpots are capable of many things. However, some recipes require a little help from a different cooking method. This crockpot pork chops and gravy recipe is one of those recipes. However, it is still an effortless way to make a delicious dinner the whole family will enjoy.
Crockpot pork chops and gravy is a classic dish that can easily be made better with the help of a crockpot. Crockpots are great at providing you with a set-it-and-forget-it meal.
But there is another reason the crockpot recipe came out so well. The low and slow cooking allows flavors to meld together over heat. Those melding flavors provide us with a cohesive meal that is filled with flavor in each bite.
That is why this crockpot pork chops and gravy recipe works so well. Sure, you could simply make pork chops in a skillet and then coat them in gravy.
But those flavors won’t have time to meld together. The goal is to get the taste of the meat into the sauce and the flavor of the sauce into the meat.
There is a lot going on in your crockpot with this recipe, but the results will speak for themselves. You will create a meat gravy with the meat inside it as it cooks.
You won’t believe how much flavor goes into the gravy when cooked this way. But also, you won’t believe how well the gravy flavor melds together with the pork chops.
Easy Crockpot Pork Chops and Gravy Recipe
There will be a good amount of soup in this gravy. Specifically, you will need cream of mushroom, cream of chicken, and some beef broth. These soups will serve as the base of your gravy.
Each soup is already packed with loads of flavor, but combining them turns it into something entirely different. However, we aren’t going to just mix a few soups together and call it gravy.
Instead, we will add flavor to the pork with spices as well. You will need paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, dried parsley, an onion, and some baby red and gold potatoes.
These other spices and ingredients bring even more flavor to the finished dish. The potatoes can even serve as a starchy side dish, making this recipe an entire meal.
How to Make Crockpot Pork Chops and Gravy
Preheat olive oil in a Cast Iron pan or large fry pan over medium to high heat. Season both sides of the pork chops with salt & pepper, paprika, onion & garlic powder. Place the pork chops in a pan and brown (sear) on both sides. About 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
Remove pork chops from the pan, set aside, and turn the heat to low/medium.
Add beef broth and both soups to the pan and whisk to release any brown bits from the bottom of the pan. Add dried parsley and stir to combine.
Put onions, mushrooms & potatoes on the bottom of the crockpot. Place pork chops over the onions, mushrooms & potatoes, and then pour the soup mixture evenly over the top.
Turn the slow cooker to high and cook for approximately 4 to 5 hours or low for 7 to 8 hours. Be sure to cook pork to the recommended temperature of 145 F to 160 F.

- 4 Pork Chops Bone-In, Thick-Cut
- 1 1/2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1/2 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 Container of Crimini Mushrooms Sliced or whole
- 1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 1 Can Cream of Chicken Soup
- 1 Cup Organic Beef Broth
- 1 Tbsp Dried Parsley
- 1/2 Large Onion Cut into quarters or diced
- 2 Lbs Baby Red & Golden Mixed Potatoes Cut in half
Instructions
