Blackberry Lemonade Margaritas Directions

Push blackberries through a fine-mesh sieve with a cocktail muddler or the back of a spoon directly into a glass. You could also puree them in a blender and strain them, but this way, you don’t need to wash your blender, and it looks cool!

Add 1 to 2 tablespoons sugar (to taste) to the blackberry puree and stir to combine.

Cover the glass and refrigerate puree until you are ready for cocktails. The puree will be kept for a day or two in the refrigerator.

Prepare lemonade if necessary. Then, set aside.

Run the cut side of a lime slice around your cocktail glass or mason jar, and then dip the glass in margarita salt or a 50/50 salt and sugar combo if you prefer.

Fill about half of your cocktail glass with crushed ice.

Squeeze in the juice of a lime wedge or two.

Place the cover on your shaker and shake vigorously.

Strain through the cocktail shaker into your prepared glasses.

Makes 2 margaritas per shaker.
