Green Juice Recipe to Lose Weight
Weight loss is not easy, and losing it so it stays off is even more challenging. We’ve all tried different fad diets to get to our goals. However, we need to set expectations with these fads. Green juice is a great example, and this green juice recipe will help us see its uses.
Green Juice Recipe to Lose Weight
This green juice recipe is a weight loss tool we have at our disposal to help us reach our goals in weight and health. Finding an easy green juice recipe like this one can be good or bad; it depends on your outlook on green juice.
Green juice has been labeled as a fad diet idea that doesn’t work. This is both true and false. We can look at other fad diets to see both the good and the bad in green juice.
In fact, learning about why it’s so hard to lose weight is a great way to find weight loss success. Green juice has been around for centuries, but this recipe is for a modern take. The confusion comes about thanks to detoxing.
Detoxing was touted as a way to lose weight. The problem is that detoxing doesn’t cause weight loss. Instead, detoxing is meant to focus on your health while trying to lose weight.
We can forget about detoxing when discussing a simple green juice recipe. In fact, a green detox juice recipe should be considered an entirely separate idea. So, if this green juice is not going to cause weight loss and is not part of detoxing, why include it in your weight loss plan?
The answer is your immune system and the way the human body works. We can make a good idea even better if we know how to use it in an excellent way.

How Green Juice Helps
This green juice recipe is not meant to be the only thing we eat or drink during a weight loss journey. We already know that not giving the body what it needs will result in it holding onto fat even harder.
No matter how many leafy greens, green apples, or fresh fruit you put into the juice, it won’t work. We need to combine a weight loss plan with regular exercise to reach our goals.
Basically, we need to use the fuel we give our bodies, and if we don’t, it will be added to the fat reserves. People started using juice recipes for every meal to try and lose weight but weren’t incorporating enough exercise.
The lack of food plus the lack of exercise meant that bodies held on to fat and used the juice ingredients for essential nutrients only. It sucks, but we have to exercise; we don’t have to eat for nutrition only, but we do need to use the food we put into our bodies.
Green juice helps as an aid, ensuring we get health benefits from whole ingredients, stay healthy, and still reach our goals. It is not an end all be all; there is no such thing.
It is a tool we use to give us the right kind of energy our body craves.
Healthy Ingredients for Green Juice
- Cucumbers: Cucumbers have a high water content, which means these will help with hydration. They are also filled with fiber, which helps with digestive health, i.e., weight loss. Every ingredient should be fresh to get the maximum benefit.
- Celery: This ingredient also has fiber but adds vitamins K, A, and the ever-important vitamin C. The nutrients in celery will help with digestion and immune system health and can even help with blood sugar levels.
- Red Apples: We all know the saying, an apple a day and the rest. We get more fiber; the name of the game here is fiber. Apples also have nutrients that help with heart health, bone health, improved immune health, and so much more. Plus, the sweet apple adds a lot of flavor.
- Kale: We can use red or green kale here. Kale is doing a lot of the heavy lifting with vitamins. It is rich in antioxidants and gives us even more fiber. We still haven’t reached our maximum limit for fiber yet, but close.
- Lemon: Lemon here serves more of a flavor purpose. However, we won’t turn away the good stuff it provides, like vitamin C and antioxidants.
- Spinach: Spinach adds potassium, iron, calcium, magnesium, vitamin A, and so much more. Spinach and kale are both the stars of this green juice recipe to lose weight.
Green Juice Recipe to Lose Weight Directions
Clean all fruits and vegetables.
Begin juicing the fruits and vegetables by placing them in the feed chute and use the food presser to push them gently down.
Do your kale and leafy greens first to allow the other ingredients to bring any remaining nutrients through the food chute with them afterward.
Press all fruits and vegetables through the food chute, stir your juice, and serve over ice.
Store any remaining juice in an airtight dark container that does not allow light to come through and drink within 24 hours. (Honestly, 16 hours is my personal recommendation.)
