Hearty, filling low carb Buddha Bowl recipes have come a long way over the years.  Also known as “hippie bowls” and even “power bowls”, they used to be raw, vegan and cater to a smaller food audience.

There are still lots of greens and veggies but the addition of lean proteins and things like cauliflower rice make today’s Buddha Bowl new and improved for the masses. 

You might be wondering how to start.  It’s a simple process if you follow the basic steps. 

1) Choose your base.  Low carb dieters will want to go heavy on the greens and mix in a little, if any, whole grains.

2) Add a protein.  We have selected Buddha Bowls that contain just about anything you can think of from tofu to beef. 

3) Top with complimentary vegetables, seeds, and dressings.  Just about any vegetable will do.  Seeds and dressings like lemony tahini or creamy avocado sauce are the icing on the cake. 

The rule here is that there are no rules!  Just follow the 3 simple steps within your own tastes and low carb lifestyle and enjoy your own Buddha Bowl with abandon!
