Caneel Bay Resort | St. John
When visiting the US Virgin Islands, there is plenty to do that will keep you out of the room. Caneel Bay Resort wants to keep you out of the room as much as possible. The resort achieves this by removing the television and phone and offering plenty of activities and experiences.
When you arrive, you’re given a complimentary bottle of rum to take to your rustic room.
The Ritz-Carlton | St. Thomas
On the eastern coast of St. Thomas you’ll find the luxury and class that the Ritz is known for all over the world. Unlike the Caneel Bay Resort, televisions and high-speed internet come with every room as well as a private terrace or balcony. While the rooms are begging to be occupied during your trip, the location offers much more outside.
There’s an off-site golf course, sailing, a spa, and oceanfront restaurants. Best of all, you can use Marriott Rewards points to help ease the workout your wallet will be getting.
The Westin | St. John
When it comes to staying at a resort, the service is just as important as any other aspect. The Westin on St. John excels at customer service, helping them achieve an almost 5-star review. Dining here is also an experience that has range.
You can grab a casual meal or head into St. John for more diverse dining. The beach at Great Cruz Bay offers multiple water-based activities like kayaking, scuba diving, windsurfing, and more.
Frenchman’s Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort | St. Thomas
If you’re looking for a more modern resort, Frenchman’s Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort has what you need. The entire resort has undergone a multi-million dollar renovation that adds modern touches everywhere.
Even the toiletries that are included in every room come from Bath & Body Works. The gem of the resort may be the Aqua Terra Oceanfront Grill where the seafood is served alongside a stunning view of Charlotte Amalie Harbor.
Secret Harbour Beach Resort | St. Thomas
The Secret Harbour Beach Resort is a more casual resort found on St. Thomas. While the resort name suggests it is far from anything else, that’s not the case. The resort offers easy access to St. John as well as ferries that take you to the British Virgin Islands across the waters.
The activities are a bit more minimal as it seems to be taking cues from the British side of the islands. But one thing that makes it worth the trip is the 200-selection wine list that you can enjoy with ocean views.
