Phase 1 is HARD. Plain and simple.
But to do an entire week and see no change has been extremely frustrating. I am still at the point I was after week one, which is down five pounds. I am 1.8 pounds lower than where I ended up after phase one last time (a year ago) so I guess I will take it. Overall, for week two, I maintained a caloric intake between 1150 and 1300 calories. Most days were around 1200.
I have a few suspicions about why the scale is not moving in phase one. 1) I am right in the middle of my healthy weight range. This is what I weighed before kids when I was in my best shape….things just settled a bit differently. 2) My vertigo came back this week, which makes my system a bit insane. I also had to deal with some female issues. Thus, if God is nice, the scale will move a bit this week to show me a bit of thanks for my hard work.
Where do I go from here?
I am moving onto phase 2 and really only reintroducing fruits this week. My husband and I are both going to try the Body for Life philosophy where you eat strict for 6 days (basically phase 2) and then day 7 you can eat whatever you want…within reason of course! I will continue to do my Jillian Michael’s workouts 5-6 days a week and see how it goes.
Hopefully tomorrow morning will give me a result that makes me want to keep forging ahead….
