The Ultimate Chocolate Chunk Cookie Recipe
One of my favorite things to bake is chocolate chunk cookies. There is a specific chocolate chunk cookie recipe that I love to make because the results are always amazing.
I want to love cooking. But instead, I love baking. Baking fills the house with warm, delicious smells, and the results are usually warm and delicious flavors.
This chocolate chunk cookie recipe can also be made with chocolate chips if you are out of chunks and is a great recipe to make with the kids! I always have the baking essentials on hand.

In fact, there’s just enough dough in this recipe to make the cookies the best chocolate chunk cookies you’ve ever made. However, they may not last long in your home because everyone will eat them.
The Ultimate Chocolate Chunk Cookie Recipe
We will be sticking to many of the cookie basics here, like flour, baking soda, salt, and butter. But these aren’t just any cookies, so some ingredients may differ slightly from what you’re used to.
Also, the cooking method is a little different as well.
How to Make Chocolate Chunk Cookie
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, combine butter, shortening, sugars, and vanilla. Beat until creamy.
Beat in egg and gradually add flour mixture. Mix well.
Add in chocolate chunks and mix well.
Drop rounded spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet at least 2 inches apart.
Bake for 8-10 minutes and cool for 2 minutes before removing from pan.

- 1/2 cup softened butter 1 stick
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 12 oz bag of semi-sweet chocolate chunks
Instructions
