I like to use my favorite margarita glasses to serve these up. They look good in tall skinny glasses or traditional style glasses as well. You can even serve this recipe on the rocks and put them in regular rocks glasses.

Tequila is the most important part of a margarita, well a classic margarita. While this strawberry jalapeno margarita isn’t exactly a classic, one day it will be.

The orange liqueur and raw agave nectar will make a huge difference. What will make this feel classical will be the coarse salt around the rim and the freshly squeezed lime juice.

Instructions for Strawberry Jalapeno Margarita On the Rocks:

Muddle the sliced strawberries, jalapeño and lime juice in a cocktail shaker.

Add the tequila and agave.

Add ice and shake.

Rub a wedge of lime along the rim of the glass.

Dip the glass onto a plate of coarse salt to coat the rim.

Add ice and strain the margarita from the shaker into the glass.

Ingredients

Ingredients for On the Rocks:

  • 2 oz Tequila
  • 1 oz Orange Liqueur Cuervo
  • ½ oz Organic Raw Agave Nectar
  • 1 oz Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice 4 large strawberries sliced
  • 1-2 Slices Fresh Jalapeño
  • Coarse Salt

Ingredients for Blended:

  • 4 oz. Tequila
  • 2 oz. Orange Liqueur Cuervo
  • 1 oz. Organic Raw Agave Nectar
  • 2 oz Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
  • 6-8 Large Strawberries Sliced
  • 1 Slice Fresh Jalapeño Minced (Remove Seeds)
  • 3 Cups of Ice
  • Coarse Salt for Glass
