Take the idea of a traditional Caprese salad and turn it into a delicious and easy caprese flatbread recipe for the perfect chicken snack. A Caprese salad is nothing more than sliced tomatoes, fresh basil, mozzarella, and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar dressing, maybe some olive oil.
These flavors are powerful in their own right, but combining them takes each ingredient to a new level. The freshness of the basil balances out the acidity of the tomatoes.
But the drizzle of balsamic glaze adds sweetness in a great way. But a Caprese salad is simply not a main dish. Sure, there is nothing like fresh basil with fresh tomatoes. The taste is simply beautiful, and you can use any tomatoes.
Cherry tomatoes will get the job done here, but you could use grape tomatoes or tomatoes from your tomato plants in the yard as long as they are ripe tomatoes.
However, the salad is not very filling and will only do a little as a main course. This recipe adds chicken to the mix, making it a filling snack you can serve as an appetizer or even a main course.
The simple ingredients come together in an easy flatbread recipe that you can make in under an hour. Of course, you could make a homemade flatbread that takes it to the next level.
In fact, that’s the perfect place to start. The bread we use will determine if you’re eating an easy flatbread recipe or if you’re making a Caprese pizza.

However, you can really use any type of bread you want. Naan flatbread is always a good choice. Naan carries this perfect combination of fresh flavors very well.
You can easily find naan bread at your local grocery store. You can make this simple recipe for salad and turn it into a delicious Caprese flatbread that the whole family can enjoy.
