What is the Otterbox uniVERSE Case System?
Otterbox has been producing cases for smartphones for years and has perfected the art. However, there is always room for improvement and innovation. The Otterbox uniVERSE Case System will seem like just another case, but there is more to it than just a case. The case works with other accessories that improve the features already present on your phone. The primary case is designed after the Symmetry Series and then goes above and beyond.

How it Works
First, you buy the uniVERSE Case, which has a metal backplate on the back. When you’ve found the smartphone accessory or accessories that you want, all you need to do is slide them into place. When you want to switch accessories, just slide out the first and slide in the other. This system is sure to be the future of smartphone cases thanks to the boost in modular smartphones coming in the future. Otterbox is helping to shape the future of smartphones one module at a time.
Pros
The Otterbox uniVERSE Case System allows for new levels of customization. You can use a module to take better pictures, hear better sounds, and so many different functions. You also can rest assured that you get the same excellent safety that you get with any other Otterbox case. Using this case also helps slim down the amount of things you need to carry. Using the battery module, you won’t need to carry an external charger; the wallet case means you don’t need to carry around a wallet.
Cons
Currently, the modules are a little on the pricey side. While the modules do seem moderately priced depending on the feature it adds to your device, it’s still extra money. The future of smartphones appears to be modular and full of custom features that you add or subtract from your phone. However, this early in the game, it’s hard to tell whether people will want to spend the extra money for other modules.
