Wearable technology has made fitness and gadgets go hand in hand together. Tracking heartrates, counting calories coaching and sleep tracking have all become easier thanks to wearable technology. Jawbone takes the relatively new ideas of healthy living through technology and makes it stylish, sleek and almost second nature. Two new products have been introduced to the world of fitness known as the Jawbone UP2 and UP3.
Fitness bands have just become stylish thanks to Jawbone.
Jawbone Up2 and Up3 Details
The Jawbone Up2 and Up3 are both available at your local BestBuy stores today so you can get started tracking your health and workouts now. The fitness bands are both splash proof, so taking a shower or washing your hands will be fine while wearing them. Unfortunately, due to manufacturing issues, the bands are not “water-proof” meaning no swimming with either band on your wrist but not a lot of bands are water-proof. Still, the styles and ease of use make the Up2 and Up3 a band worth trying. The first thing you may notice is the lack of a display, this is because the bands rely on Bluetooth technology to send all of the information you need to your smartphone.
While the bands are both designed to look great, they have some different capabilities.
What’s The Difference?
The Up2 is the low-end model of the two but still very capable of tracking your fitness. The Up2 is capable of tracking your activities, food, sleep and has smart Coach capabilities. The size of the Up2 and the design make it an easy wear device that is both slim and almost unnoticeable.
In comparison, the Jawbone Up3 has all the same features as the Up2 with a few upgrades. The Up3 has the added ability to measure steps and heart rate in a unique way that could allow for future improvements. The Up3 uses metallic contacts on the inside to measure skin temperature, heart rate, galvanic skin response. These capabilities mean the Jawbone Up3 could potentially be used to measure stress levels in the future.
Both the Up2 and Up3 could last up to a week on a single charge and both have a new metallic clasp.
The design of both the Up2 and Up3 show great advancements in making fitness trackers slim and stylish. Using a metal clasp to secure around your wrist and the lack of a screen make the Up2 and Up3 very slim. Instead of a display, you’ll find a set of LED lights to let you know the status of the bands. An aluminum casing holds all of the mechanisms on the top of the bands. You also can find two different color options, all black, or grey and silver. Perfect no matter what outfit you wear while working out.
