Beachbody on Demand, in collaboration with registered dietitian, Ilana Muhlstein, recently launched their newest program, 2B Mindset, intended to change how you look at food and weight loss. This new addition to the Beachbody family of diets and workouts gives everyone another type of plan they can choose to follow. The only problem with another addition to the family is that it can be difficult to find the right one for you. For example, how do you know if you’d succeed more with 21 Day Fix or with 2B Mindset? Well, the best way to get the answer is by exploring the differences between the two weight-loss plans before selecting the one that’s best for you, 2B mIndset vs 21 Day Fix.

Taking 2B Mindset vs 21 Day Fix will let you see the many differences between both of the best Beachbody diet plans that are designed to help you lose weight. Finding the best diet plan that will help you lose the most weight sounds impossible. But Beachbody makes the impossible, possible with the help of nutritionists and their healthy diet plans. #2BMindset #21DayFix #WeightLoss #MealPlanning #Diets #21DF

If you’re thinking about starting a Beachbody program and trying to decide which is right for you, the many different options can make it difficult. Maybe you’re a 21 Day Fix lover but curious about a new program and how it works. Wonder no more! 21 Day Fix and 2B Mindset are different approaches to the same goal. But the major differences could make it easier for you to figure out if the new program is for you or if you should stick with what you love. 2B Mindset vs 21 Day Fix is the only way to compare them fairly and in a way that’s easy to understand.

2B Mindset vs 21 Day Fix | Approach to Portion Control and Timing

In the diet portion of the 21 Day Fix, you learn to measure and divide your food between the pre-measured food group containers. This is a simple and pre-planned way to control your calorie consumption while allowing for a variety of foods. It’s really important to portion control and time each meal according to your 21 Day Fix plan as it’s already been thought out for you.

You are in control with 2B Mindset’s Plate It system. The Plate It! System is intended to make things simple and prevent you from needing to measure or weigh your food. You can print the Plate It! Recap and keep it handy for training yourself to quickly “eyeball” the right proportions. You can even use it at restaurants and social events, making it less restrictive than 21 Day Fix containers. Timing is not as important on 2B Mindset, however, the daily plan allows for 3 meals per day and just one snack, between lunch and dinner. Also, it’s “Dinner and Done” with the plan.

2B Mindset vs 21 Day Fix | Approach to Food Groups, Meal Planning, and Tracking

Both 21 Day Fix and 2B Mindset give you food groupings, lists, and recipes, but in 2B Mindset the food list is different. They include fruit in the carbohydrate list rather than its own group. Starchy vegetables like corn, peas, and potatoes (even sweet potatoes) are considered carbs. The Carbs list is nicknamed FFCs, or Fiber- Filled Carbohydrates, leaving out any pasta, crackers or bread that are not whole-grain. Fats, sugars and dressings, even Shakeology boosts are listed in the 2B Mindset Accessories group and are to be used in small amounts.

An additional food group, called “Silly” Carbs and Treats has been created to encompass all those other white, sweetened, fried or fatty carbs and other foods. Yes, this includes your glass of red wine or any alcohol for that matter.

Meal planning, while still made relatively simple on 2B Mindset, might take a little more thought. You cannot manipulate containers throughout the day, adding an extra protein here and taking away a carb there. Using the Plate It! System you will “eyeball” proportions onto your plate. For example, Breakfast is 50% Protein and 50% FFCs. You won’t have to use containers or anything like that. Tracking your food on 2B Mindset is KEY! You will track everything you eat, the water you drink and you will see how things like “Silly” Carbs and social event eating affect your weight and how you feel.

2B Mindset vs 21 Day Fix | Approach to Exercise, Shakeology, and the Dreaded Scale

Food is not the only component of the 21 Day Fix program. Along with your pre-portioned containers is a pre-planned 21 Days of workout videos designed to boost your fat-burning, keep you fit and energized and work with your diet, giving you the results you would expect from a calories-in-calories-out approach to weight loss.

Because 2B Mindset is just that: a mindset approach to dieting and weight loss. It does not require exercise. As your mindset changes and as you develop healthy strategies when it comes to eating, you will lose weight. Replacing meals with Shakeology is not part of the 2B Mindset approach either. You can even make a fruit boosted Shakeology breakfast or use it as the base for overnight oats.

Yes! You weigh yourself on 2B Mindset… a lot! Because 2B Mindset is primarily based on food strategy for long-term results, the scale is a very important component. Instead of watching your results in the mirror, or waiting until your program is complete to step on that scale, you will actually weigh yourself DAILY! This is really going to be crucial for those mornings after you attend a social event, eat out with friends or treat yourself to one of those “Silly” Carbs. You will see direct results whether you like it or not!

2B Mindset vs 21 Day Fix | With this information, what do you do?

If your goal is strictly quick weight loss, and you just want it to be planned out for you already, you might choose the 21 Day Fix. The calorie-restricted approach will work, it is easy, and you will see results in 21 days!

On the other hand, if you are looking to develop a more disciplined, long-term approach to food (and you have struggled with diets and temporary fixes in the past), 2B Mindset might be exactly what you need. Maybe you just finished 21 Day Fix and you are looking to maintain or extend your weight loss and keep it off!  2B Mindset can provide you the tools for long-term success.
