Chicken Pot Pie with Biscuits (No Crust Required!)
Chicken pot pie is a classic dish that really packs the flavor and the heat. Not heat from spice, but heat from the oven. The pie crust on top traps that heat, making it a tricky meal to eat. We can ditch that heat and keep the flavors with our chicken pot pie with biscuits recipe.

Chicken Pot Pie with Biscuits (No Crust Required!)
Our chicken pot pie with biscuits recipe turns the pie into a casserole that’s easy to make even on busy weeknights. The beauty of a recipe like this is not only that it is cheap to make and packed with flavor.
The real beauty of this dish is that it is an entire meal! Chicken pot pie comes with the chicken (main dish), covered in a gravy sauce, veggies (side dish), and of course, biscuits to round out the meal.
You won’t need to make any sides or figure out what will go with the gravy. Instead, make just one dish and know it has everything anyone would expect in a full, complete meal.

Chicken Pot Pie Casserole Ingredients
- Chicken Breast – We can’t make a chicken pot pie recipe with chicken. Be sure to go for the boneless and skinless option.
- Cream of Chicken – The base of the gravy is not the cream of chicken, but it will help add flavor and thicken up the sauce.
- Milk – Milk adds richness and more liquid to the dish, helping make the gravy.

- Chicken Broth – Finally, we have arrived at the base for the gravy of this easy chicken pot pie with biscuits recipe.
- Onion – Adding flavor means adding in different produce. We are starting with the onions, but we have a lot more to go.
- Potato – Potatoes help by adding starch to the dish and the meal overall. This is how we get to a complete meal.

- Frozen Veggies – Veggies add flavor and nutrients, making this dish filling and lovely.
- Frozen Peas – Unfortunately, many frozen veggie combos don’t include peas, but we want them here.
- Celery – Celery does not need to be frozen in this dish. Go for the fresh stuff so they won’t get even more mushy.

- Garlic Salt – We need to season everything. Garlic salt will add some flavor, but don’t forget, we are still adding salt and pepper.
- Canned Biscuits – Pick your favorite biscuits, as these will be placed on top of the chicken casserole, making it a chicken pot pie casserole.
