Some mixologists will tell you that a margarita isn’t a margarita without Triple Sec. Instead, it is a tequila daiquiri or tequila gimlet. You can even search the internet for why people don’t like Triple Sec in margaritas and will come up with nothing.
But it is sweet and adds more calories to a drink that doesn’t necessarily need to be there. Your reason for not liking Triple Sec is not important.
Instead, it is just important that you enjoy your drink, and you will definitely enjoy this fresh pineapple margarita recipe without Triple Sec.
Fresh Pineapple Margarita Recipe without Triple Sec
The most important ingredient in making a fresh-tasting margarita is to use fresh juice. This recipe calls for fresh pineapple juice. You will need to juice your own pineapple.
But we will also be adding premade pineapple juice as well. You can easily use a juicer at home to get the juice out of a pineapple or hand squeeze; the choice is yours.
The tequila is the next most important ingredient. We will be using Anejo tequila but the brand you choose to use is totally up to you. A margarita isn’t a margarita without lime juice and, of course, a thick rim of sugar.
