Yellow Bird Rum Cocktail
Travel is something we love to do as a family! While visiting a Beaches Resort on Turks and Caicos, we jumped at the chance to take a tropical cocktail mixology class. One of our favorite drinks from the lesson was and is the Yellow Bird cocktail.
One of my family’s favorite things to do to escape the harsh cold that thankfully never hits Southern California is heading to the tropics. What is a yellow bird rum cocktail, you ask?
It is a tropical paradise in a highball glass! Get the refreshing recipe here! There is little better than unwinding with a glass of the Beaches Resort after a week of driving a carpool of children to school, working, cleaning, phone meetings, and the everyday tasks that need to get done.
One of my favorite drinks has become the yellow bird rum cocktail, and it’s even better now since I know how to make it with my husband and friends.

Yellow Bird Rum Cocktail
What does it take to make a drink at home that makes you feel like you’re at a Beaches Resort? Actually, all it takes is a nice glass, a pineapple slice or orange slice for garnish, some Appleton Special, creme de banana, and some orange juice.
It’s that easy to escape (mentally) to a Beaches Resort whenever you want.
how to make a Yellow Bird Rum Cocktail
Once you’ve gathered up all the necessary ingredients, throw them into a cocktail shaker.
Simply shake (for best results, turn on some good music and shake to the beat), and then pour over ice. Take the pineapple slice and make a slit up the middle and slide it onto the rim of your glass.
That’s it; it’s time to enjoy and get ready to make the second round. The Yellow Bird rum cocktail is one of many different rum cocktails you can enjoy.
Each one will take you to a different one of the Beaches Resorts (in spirit and taste, of course). All you need to do is decide on which one you want to visit.
We’ve all heard of Christmas in July, but maybe it’s time to start a new party, Summer Paradise, in December. This cocktail and the Another Day in Paradise cocktail are great ways to start that trend.
