Instructions
Push blackberries through a fine-mesh sieve with a cocktail muddler or the back of a spoon directly into a glass. You could also puree them in a blender and strain them but this way you don’t need to wash your blender and it looks cool!
Add 1 to 2 tablespoons sugar (to taste) to the blackberry puree and stir to combine.
Cover the glass and refrigerate puree until you are ready for cocktails. The puree will keep for a day or two in the refrigerator.
Prepare lemonade if necessary. Then set aside.
Run the cut side of a lime slice around your cocktail glass and then dip the glass in margarita salt or a 50/50 salt and sugar combo if you prefer.
Fill about half of your cocktail glass with crushed ice.
Fill a cocktail shaker about 3/4 full with ice. Add 4 teaspoons of the blackberry puree, 4 ounces lemonade, and 4 ounces silver or blanco tequila.
Squeeze in the juice of a lime wedge or two.
Place cover on the shaker and shake vigorously.
Strain through the cocktail shaker into your prepared glasses.
