Throwing a birthday party for a child can be a bit of a daunting task. You need to choose a theme, send out invites, gather supplies and foods and so much more. However, there are easier ways that make the entire experience a breeze; let someone else throw the party. We had a Build a Bear birthday party and realized that these options double as amazing parenting tools.
Wondering what to expect during a Build a Bear Birthday Party? We walk you through the process and have a coupon code for.
I can hardly believe our little girl is now four-years-old. This past weekend, she had her first big birthday party at Build-A-Bear Workshop. She could hardly contain her excitement and had a look of pure relief when she woke on Saturday to learn it was “finally my party”. 🙂 She chose a Build A Bear birthday party because…in her words…everyone would have fun and love them. Out of the mouth of babes…she nailed it. The party was filled with fun and activity for all of the guests, who ranged in age from three through six.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed being able to relax and focus on the guests and our children. The staff at Build-A-Bear take care of your every need. If your guests bring presents, they take care of them for you and keep them safe while you enjoy the party.
Here is the birthday girl when we first arrived. She loved her sticker with little ribbons on it and wore it proudly.
Austin and Kayla, our party hosts, were phenomenal. As a former teacher, I recognize that we all have our strengths and ages that we work best with. Austin and Kayla are perfect for their job. They connected with each and every child and fostered excitement through their sheer happiness to be hosting a party
It was early so the kids needed to warm up a bit and get that blood flowing. No jumping for me…thanks to dear friends who brought me Starbucks. 🙂
Then it was time to fly through the store so the kiddos could select their animal. A simple thing, but yet one that made it all that more fun for the children.
We were all very impressed with how the party flowed. Our party hosts made sure all children understood the rules and the order of events.
Funny how each child seemed to immediately know exactly which animal they wanted…:)
Then it was time to add some sounds. This was so fun for the children and our son was overjoyed to learn they had a Star Wars sound for his Star Wars bear.
This was such an endearing part of Princess A’s birthday celebration…all of the children sat down, took a heart, and made lovely wishes with it before stuffing it in the birthday girl’s bear. And because she chose Hello Kitty, you can even see some red from the hearts from the outside of her bear.
The children were so engaged in making their wishes for Princess A’s bear. Her bear is so special to her!
Then it was time to put a heart in their own bears. Mr. C wished very hard for his. I joked with my husband that he was probably wishing for his Star Wars bear to have a real light saber. 🙂
The children played a fun toss game with a small stuffed dog. Such fun…
Then it was time to stuff their bears.
To add to the fun, a stuffing machine was empty so the kids were able to add fill in the “Stuffeteria” and watch it travel through the tubes.
“Here she is, Mommy!”
Genuine happiness when they had their animals in their arms…
Then it was time to give their animals a bath so they were pretty and clean.
Off to dress…
and accessorize. The pet carriers were a hit!
The children were all so proud of their creations! There are actually three children in this picture.
You also get a group picture to keep from Build-A-Bear.
It was wonderful to see so many happy faces!
The whole store sang “Happy Birthday” to Princess Ava and then the staff escorted the children to their lunch.
The kids thought it was pretty fun to fly through the mall…
We ended with lunch in the food court and…
celebrated with donuts as the birthday treat of choice.
