I have been Type 2 diabetic for over twenty years now. Recently my daily BG count went up, though I take Glipizide 10mg before meal and Metformin 850 mg after, three times a day, before and after meals. What puzzles me is that recently, unlike before, after 30 min. of vigorous excercise on threadmill, instead of going down my sugar goes up. Why does this happen? Is Metformin not supposed to block liver delivering BG? Time to change meds? Go on insulin?

Thank you so much for answer.
