The Holidays are here, and that means celebrity news. How do the two relate? Well, they don’t really but why not? Surely you’ve been busy planning your holidays, getting prepared for the craziest shopping day of the year, and preparing yourself to deal with those family members that you try an avoid. That means you may have missed some celebrity news, and so allow us to catch you up on what’s going on. Lets start with Bill Cosby.
Bill Cosby has been accused of raping multiple women throughout his career. Before today, actually back in 2006 Cosby settled a civil lawsuit with a woman who accused him of sexual assault two years earlier. When that accusation came to light, more women came out and reported similar cases, however they kept their anonymity. Now those women are speaking out and the list includes former model Janice Dickinson, Joan Tarshis, and Therese Serignese. Since these accusations are gaining traction again, Netflix has canceled a stand up special with Cosby, and NBC puts to bed any ideas of a new sitcom starring Bill Cosby.
Oprah may be very, very, very ,very (you get the idea) wealthy. If you want to be wealthy as well, maybe all you need to do is be her friend. Here are the 12 people that Oprah gave the wealth bug to throughout her career thus far. Iyanla Vanzant, Bob Greene, James Frey, Nate Berkus, Stedman, Daphne Oz, Dr. Oz, Gayle King, Suze Orman, Rachael Ray, Rhonda Byrne, and Dr. Phil. Ok, so there does need to be a bit of talent already there in order for this recipe to work, but…Dr. Phil. This list was put together by Worthly.com
There’s no easy way to give the news of death, but the world has lost a great visionary, and you should know about it. The director of one of the most iconic films in the world, The Graduate, Mike Nichols has past away. ABC News announced this sad news, stating that Nichols died suddenly on Wednesday morning.
If there’s anything that can bring us back from a story of lost life, its a story of new life. Kevin James and his wife, Steffiana de la Cruz are expecting their fourth child. One of the few Hollywood couples who know that relationships are not just a great PR opportunity, James and Cruz have been married for 10 years, and still going strong-obviously.
Speaking of new life, Disney is still hard at work breathing new life into their classic fairy tales. Next in line to get a live action remix is the classic tale of Cinderella. This time around, Cate Blanchett will be playing the evil stepmother, and from the new trailer that was recently released, she’ll be doing a great job. Lily James, yes Rose from Downton Abbey will be our Cinderella, and (one of the biggest shocks of the film) Helena Bonham Carter will be playing the Fairy Godmother. Quick related sidenote, the answer is no, Tim Burton is not directing this film. Then there’s Prince Charming, who will be brought to life (again) this time by Richard Madden, you might know him better as Robb Stark, from the House of Stark, Game of Thrones.
